Synopsis

Having grown up a roaming peasant with her Aunt Hosti, Rimarnia, known as Rima, suddenly finds out she is the true princess of the country Calidus Minor.  An approaching coup in the government, led by the evil Judge Paetus, forces Rimarnia on the run for her life.  Those loyal to the crown, plus Rima’s new-found love, Aulus, try and stop Paetus and his forces from destroying their freedoms and country.

A quick, fun read.  I love a strong, courageous, principled heroine, and Rimarnia is one, indeed.  If you liked “Princess Academy”, you would most likely enjoy this novel as well. The author notes at the beginning of the book, “This book is safe.”  Nice heads up for parents.
